Kucher: We are studying Panathinaikos, watching games. I will not talk about the weaknesses and strengths of the opponent

Dnipro-1 will play with the Greek club in the Champions League qualification

Head coach SC Dnepr-1 Oleksandr Kucher spoke about the preparations for the confrontation with Panathinaikos in the second qualifying round Champions League. The Dnipro team will play their home match in Kosice, Slovakia.

“Of course, we are following the game of the Greeks. They have played many matches before. On Friday, Panathinaikos drew for the first time, and before that they had only won. We will keep an eye on our future rival in the future. There are a lot of people in Panathinaikos, there is always a rotation. By the way, among the players of the Greek club there are also familiar guys – the former Dynamo Kiev player Verbich and the ex-miner Bernard. In addition to them, the Athens team has many skillful and experienced players. I repeat: we study them, watch the games, ”Kucher said.

“I will not talk about the strengths and weaknesses of Panathinaikos, because I think that the headquarters of the Greek club also study the press, everyone reads about us and watches our team. Let my data on Panathinaikos remain with me.”

“We spent one European Cup season in Kosice and I think we have already got used to the conditions there a little. So let’s go and play. Let’s see how it will be. They should arrive in Kosice on July 24, for a pre-game training session. We hope that in the current European Cup season our team will have at least the same support as in the previous one. Moreover, as we were informed, two more side stands were made at the stadium in Kosice – behind the gates.

On July 25, Dnipro-1 will play the first match of the second qualifying round of the Champions League against Panathinaikos. The return match will take place on 1 August.
