Defender “Manchester United” Harry Maguire announced that he was no longer the club’s captain.
The player wrote on social media that the decision was made by the team’s head coach Eric Ten Hag .
– After today’s meeting, the coach told me that he was changing captains. He explained his decision and although personally I am extremely disappointed, I will continue to give my best every time I put on the jersey of this club.
I wanted to say a huge thank you to the Manchester United fans for their brilliant support while I wore this armband. It was a huge honor for me and one of the proudest moments of my career to date. It is one of the best achievements that can be achieved. I have done everything to help United succeed on and off the pitch,” Maguire wrote on social media.
