Ukrainian national U-20 basketball team defeated the Swedish team in the match for 3rd place in the youth European championship V Division B.

Wards of Dmitry Zabirchenko won all four quarters of the match. The final advantage of the Ukrainian team was 22 points – 83:61.

Despite today’s victory, Ukraine remained in Division B. Initially, the top three teams of the tournament should have been promoted, but this year only the finalists of the championship – the Czech Republic and North Macedonia – will advance to the elite division.

This related to thatthat Poland, which will host EuroBasket U-20 in division A in 2024, had to leave the elite division following the results of the current draw. However, according to the FIBA ​​regulations, the host of the European Championship is guaranteed to receive a place in the tournament. Therefore, the Polish team retained its place in the A division.
