Former CSKA footballer and former army youth team coach Alexander Grishin believes Russian midfielder Arsen Zakharyan and Armenian Nair Tiknizyan should not be rushed to join European clubs.
— It is not surprising to me that European clubs are interested in Nair Tiknizyan. He is the main player of Lokomotiv, not so long ago he received a call to the Armenian national team and scored a goal for it. But if I were him, I wouldn’t be in a hurry to move to Europe. Because, first of all, Nair will lose a lot in terms of salary. And secondly, he still needs to get stronger: after all, he became a basic player not so long ago. And going abroad is always a struggle for a place in the team, he can just stop playing and watch football from the bench. So if I were him, I would act like Daler Kuzyaev. First I achieved something in the RPL, then I would conquer the European championships. The same goes for Arsen Zakharyan who, after a successful debut season at Dynamo, started courting at Chelsea. The guy is still very young, and in the last RPL draw, he no longer showed the football that was seen when the team was managed by Sandro Schwartz. And moving to Feyenoord now wouldn’t be the best idea for him. Arsen needs to get back to his old form first, continue to develop talent and prove to Marcel Licka that he is a first-team player, and not yet a promising player. Therefore, it is not worth rushing to play in Europe yet,” quotes RT Grishin.
The specialist also believes that the acquisition of Strakhinya Erakovic for Spartak will be a good transfer.
— Their defense has been waiting for a qualitative increase for a very long time, and Erakovic can become one. Because, as a rule, Serbian players adapt well in our league, after all, our brother peoples, cultures and languages are very similar. Moreover, he is a young footballer who will have great motivation to play for a club like Spartak. It’s a great springboard to evolve towards the top European club, if it shows itself very well. This was the case of Nemanja Vidic, also passed from Zvezda to Red-White. But the most important thing is that they take a young foreigner. Because it’s better to take one than an age-old top league star. Usually these players come just to make money at the end of their career and not to benefit the team. Such a player will not be motivated. He always gets paid for his money. Yes, and for the transfer will have to pay a lot. Like, for example, Davinson Sanchez, who was offered to Spartak for 15 million euros. It’s not a fact that a Premier League player will show the same level as at Tottenham,” added Grishin.
