Danchenko joined Zara on loan in January last year. In February 2023, the defender suffered a heart attack in training. The incident happened at a training camp in Turkey. Zorya’s club doctors did not allow Danchenko to train and play in the general group, which is why the football player missed the second part of the UPL 2022/23.
Zorya extended the lease of the Ukrainian for the upcoming season. In the first half of the 2022/23 season, Danchenko played 17 matches for Zorya in all competitions, scoring one assist.
Panamanian striker Eduardo Guerrero also works outside the general group. Midfielder Maxim Chekh has not yet arrived at the training camp of Zorya – the Luhansk club is negotiating with Shakhtar to rent a player.
Zorya finished third in the Ukrainian Championship and will play in the Europa League qualification. In the new season, the team will be led by Serb Nenad Lalatovic.
