Krasyuk: Dubois fights not with someone from the street, but with a recognized champion who made Fury run away

The Briton will fight Usyk at the end of August

Alexander KrasyukWBO/WBA/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion promoter Oleksandr Usykshared his opinion about the next fight of the Ukrainian against the British boxer Daniel Dubois.

“This is the first time in Dubois’ life that he has to fight for the title of unified world heavyweight champion. And he’s not fighting someone off the street, he’s fighting a recognized champion who has beaten Anthony Joshua twice. With the guy who made Tyson Fury run from him. So because of this, his thoughts can be a little shaky,” Krasyuk said.

“Underestimating Dubois is definitely not our approach. When I say “our”, I mean Usyk first of all. He is a true professional. Usyk says that he treats each opponent as the most serious in his career, that in each training camp he gives all his best at 117%.

Usyk vs Dubois is officially announced for August 26. The fight will take place in Wroclaw, Poland, at the Tarczynski Arena. It was reported that Usyk would receive 75% of the total prize fund – $6 million. Dubois can count on 25% – 2 million.

Alexander in the last fight again defeated Briton Anthony Joshua, defending the championship belts. Dubois defeated Kevin Lerena by TKO in December and retained his WBA mandatory contender status.
