Athletistic/ Football. The UAF sent an official letter to FIFA and UEFA asking them to respond to the illegal inclusion of Crimean clubs Sevastopol and Rubin Yalta in the Russian championship.
“We have already contacted FIFA and UEFA several times about the Russian football management’s attempts to include Ukrainian clubs to participate in the Russian national championships.
Sevastopol and Rubin Yalta played their first matches in the Russian second division. We consider such actions a flagrant violation of FIFA and UEFA statutes and UEFA’s decision on the special status of Crimean football,” UAF wrote in a letter.
Earlier, Sevastopol and Rubin Yalta started in the FNL-2 championship.
