The Rukh project is ready to financially support Kolos
CEO Rukh Igor Dedyshin told why the Lviv club decided to fully finance the existence UPL-TV.
“We are ready to fully cover the production of UPL-TV, without using the share of clubs for betting rights and the contract of the title sponsor of the league. In the first year, we plan to create the most open access for viewers in order to popularize the product and form a customer base. And then reorient it to a multi-platform model with the help of all relevant players in the OTT services market,” said Dedyshin.
“Start-up capital is required to launch the project. We are ready to provide it. The main motivation is to prove with concrete actions that a quality product can be made – in the interests of all clubs, not private owners. We are trying to make UPL-TV a serious player in the market, with whom they want to work and negotiate. Then there will be serious sponsors and advertisers, partners in the TV market, and most importantly, we want to integrate as much as possible into our project and interest viewers in our project.”
“Refund? It is clear that we would like to return our investment sooner or later. But it will be possible if we create a profitable project that will bring money to the clubs. If this happens, then I am sure that all the clubs themselves will turn to us with a proposal to return the investment to our or other clubs. And I emphasize that this is not our investment condition, but a purely theoretical opinion and proposal.”
“Yes, Kolos wants to financially support the project. It was Mr. Drought’s personal initiative. The proportions of support were not discussed. We do not make any demands. We just strive to unite the maximum number of participants under the roof of UPL-TV and the Premier League.”

In addition to Rukh and the UPL-TV project, the desire to broadcast matches of the Ukrainian championship was announced by the XSPORT channel. Recall that the home matches of Dnepr-1, Dynamo, Dawn will be broadcast by the TV channels of the 1 + 1 Media holding.
The 2023/24 UPL season will begin on July 28 with two matches: Obolon – Kolos and Veres – Polissya (the match will be held in Zhytomyr). According to Sport Arena, with a probability of 99%, the championship will start with empty stands.
