Two legionnaires on view at the UPL club
Head coach Veresa Sergey Lavrinenko spoke about the work of the club in the transfer market. In the near future, the red-blacks will sign two foreign players from Brazil.
“We decided to refuse the services of Oleg Sinitsa, who was with us on viewing. Vasily Gakman arrived from Bukovina a few days ago. We have an agreement with the leadership of the Chernivtsi club that we will decide on it after a sparring with Kryvbas, which will be held in Uzhgorod on July 19,” Lavrinenko said.
“As for the Brazilian legionnaires, both played with Karpaty, one even managed to level the score. I hope that the issue of their transition will be resolved this week.”
In the summer, Veres signed goalkeeper Yevgeny Pasta, defender Yevgeny Shevchenko, midfielders Oleksandr Kucherenko and Andriy Kukharuk, forward Maxim Marusych. The players signed agreements for a period of one season.
Veres retained his place in the UPL for the 2023/24 season thanks to the victory over Metalurh Zaporozhye in the play-offs. In the first round on July 28, Lavrinenko’s team in Zhytomyr will play with Polesie.
