MLS club St. Louis City introduced a complete ban on name T-shirts Lionel Messi in the team’s home match against Inter Miami, which took place on July 16 and ended in the defeat of the guests with the score 3:0.
The club memo notes that the ban applies to all shirts of the teams the player played for during a career – the Argentina national team, Barcelona, PSG, Newell’s Old Boys and even the boyhood club of the Grandoli striker, according to Yahoo Sport.
On Sunday, Messi was introduced to Inter Miami fans as a squad player.
Earlier, the forward left PSG, for whom he has been playing since 2021. In 75 games for the team, he scored 32 goals and made 35 assists. Before that, Lionel defended the colors of Barcelona, with which he won the Spanish championship ten times and the Champions League four times.
