The rating was compiled based on five criteria: history, atmosphere, capacity, architecture and environment, as well as the “wow factor” – how desperately football fans want to go there .
Top 10 stadiums:
1. Bombonera (Buenos Aires, Argentina);
2. Maracana (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil);
3. “Signal Iduna Park” (Dortmund, Germany);
Luzhniki was opened in July 1956. After the reconstruction, which was completed in 2017, it can accommodate 81,000 people and is the largest stadium in Russia.
