Defender to earn £7m plus season bonuses at new club
Al Nasr agreed with Manchester United about the transition of the defender Alex Telles. The transfer is expected to be officially announced soon.
Manchester United will receive £4 million for the transfer, and the deal also provides for additional bonuses. Telles’ salary at the new club will be £7m plus bonuses.
The 30-year-old defender spent last season in Seville on loan. The Brazilian has made 38 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring three assists.
It was previously reported that FIFA placed a ban on all Al-Nasr operations for three transfer windows. Recall that the club from Saudi Arabia in 2018 bought striker Ahmed Musa from Leicester for 16.5 million euros, but did not pay the Foxes 457 thousand euros and a bonus amount. Al-Nasr has paid Leicester £390,000 in debt and hopes the transfer ban will be lifted next week.
Manchester United finished third in the Premier League. In the first round of the new season, the Red Devils will host Wolves on 14 August.
