At the same time, Russia is seeking the return of teams and athletes to the international arena.
The Russian hockey club CSKA continues to help the Russian army that invaded Ukraine and continues to destroy our country. The club not only handed over the equipment to the terrorists, but also happily announced this on its website.
“As a sign of support and solidarity,” this is how CSKA commented on their act.
Recall that Russia is seeking the return of its teams and athletes to the international arena, and some federations are already allowing athletes from the terrorist country to tournaments and competitions.
Earlier, the Head of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Thomas Bach, said that decisions on the admission of athletes from Russia and Belarus to the Olympic Games in Paris should hardly be expected before the meeting of the executive committee of the organization, which will be held on October 15-17 in Mumbai. The functionary said that the IOC must be sure of the correctness of the decision.
In June, a representative of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe expressed the categorical position of his organization regarding the participation of athletes from a terrorist country and an accomplice of terrorism to the Olympic Games 2024.
Recall, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to boycott the qualifying tournaments for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, which will allow Russian and Belarusian athletes. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has already reacted to the decision of the Government of Ukraine to boycott the qualifying tournaments for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Earlier, the IOC Executive Board recommended the return of Russian and Belarusian athletes to international competitions in a neutral status. At the same time, teams from Russia and Belarus, as well as athletes who support the war or have a contract with the armies of the Russian Federation or the Republic of Belarus, are not allowed to participate in the tournaments.
Early in the morning of February 24, 2022, Russia launched rocket and air strikes on most Ukrainian cities, and then launched a full-scale military invasion. The war against Russia has been going on for 511 days.
