The Parisians paid 6 million euros for a young talent
PSG announced the return of the midfielder Javi Simons. The French club bought the 20-year-old player from PSV for 6 million euros.
Simons has signed a contract with PSG until the summer of 2027. Xavi will spend the 2023/24 season on loan at RB Leipzig.
Xavi spent three seasons (2019-22) with PSG, making his debut for the first team in February 2021. In the summer of 2022, the midfielder moved to PSV Eindhoven as a free agent.
Simons scored 22 goals and provided 12 assists in 48 games for PSV Eindhoven in all competitions last season. The midfielder also has five matches for the Netherlands national team.
In July, RB Leipzig signed 18-year-old PSG defender El Chadal Bitshiaba. The Bulls paid more than 15 million euros for the player.
PSG became champions of France. RB Leipzig finished third in the Bundesliga and won the German Cup.
After a season with PSV Eindhoven, Xavi Simons has returned to Paris Saint-Germain until 2027. ✍️
