“It’s hard to find the words, you all know this: I don’t really like to talk. I prefer the field to speak, I think I’m better. A chapter of my life is ending. Long. Very long. I felt the need to open a new one, turn the page. I came to Terni as a child to pursue a dream, and I’m leaving for the same reason. To continue to believe in it with the same strength as then.”
The same strength I always put on the pitch every minute I wore this jersey. I’m even proud to be a captain. I won and lost, laughed and cried. I grew up, I became a man. Turn home. So it’s a tough and difficult decision, but the time has come.
I just say THANK YOU to everyone from the bottom of my heart. Thank you to each and every one of my teammates, warehouse workers, physical therapists and all those who have worked at Ternana over the years. Special thanks to Director Leona and President Bandecchi who always and always believed in me.
