“We have a desire to play not only at Manchester City. Dynamo is open to offers from other clubs in England, as it is one of the countries that has condemned the war very hard. Lucescu noted the importance of holding charity matches.
“It’s not about football. Football is our tool. An invitation to play is a sign for those who are in Ukraine, who are struggling or suffering, who need to hide because of the shelling. This is not just a match. If you play , you show that you care about something, what’s going on.
My dream was to play in all the countries that supported the Ukrainians in those days. We must not forget. No need to go back to daily routine and forget about Ukraine. These battles are held to honor the victims and give hope and comfort to everyone in Ukraine, ”Lucescu was quoted as saying by the BBC.
It will be recalled that on Tuesday, April 12, Dynamo will hold its first charity match.
