Messi to captain Inter Miami

The Argentine will soon make his debut for a new club

Argentine Lionel Messi received in Inter Miami captain’s armband.

Messi joined Inter as a free agent. In June, the 36-year-old forward left PSG, where he spent two seasons and won three trophies.

Lionel in the American team will receive up to 60 million dollars a year plus bonuses. The contract runs until the end of 2025. In the MLS, the Argentine will play under the 10th number.

The Ukrainian defender Sergey Krivtsov plays in Miami. Inter is owned by David Beckham, a former Manchester United, Real Madrid, Milan, PSG and England player.

Inter Miami closes the standings of the MLS Eastern Conference with 18 points. Messi’s debut at Inter is scheduled in the group stage match of the League Cup against the Mexican Cruz Azul on the night of July 21-22.
