Legionnaires will spend the next season in the Premier League
Veres officially entered into agreements with two Brazilians – defender Julio Cesar and midfielder Iago Siqueira.
Central defender Julio Cesar moved to the Rivne club on loan from Indonesian Borneo. Attacking midfielder Iago Siqueira has signed a three-year contract.
Earlier, the head coach of Veres, Sergey Lavrinenko, expressed the hope that the issue with the transfer of the Brazilians would be resolved as quickly as possible.
Earlier, Veres had already signed goalkeeper Yevgeny Pasta, defender Yevgeny Shevchenko, midfielders Oleksandr Kucherenko and Andriy Kukharuk, forward Maksim Marusych. The players signed agreements for a period of one season.
Veres retained his place in the UPL for the 2023/24 season thanks to the victory over Metalurh Zaporozhye in the play-offs. In the first round on July 28, Lavrinenko’s team in Zhytomyr will play with Polesie.
