The Wolves have signed a player who has made over 300 appearances for them.
Wolverhampton officially announced the return to its ranks of the right winger Matt Dohertywho in recent years has advocated Tottenham And Atlético. Wolves’ agreement with the player is for three years.
With the arrival of Emerson Royal to Tottenham, the Irish international lost his place in the Spurs starting lineup and spent the second half of last season at Atlético Madrid.
The 31-year-old Irish defender played for Wolverhampton for 10 years (with short breaks) and spent 302 matches in all tournaments. In 2020, he moved to Tottenham, where he played with mixed success.
In the 2022/23 season, Matt Doherty played 16 matches for Tottenham, scoring one goal. He only came off the bench twice for Atlético Madrid.
