Jan Lucas was announced by Peixe last Sunday, the 16th. He revealed that he had contacts with Flamengo and the technician Jorge Sampaoli to return to wear the shirt of the rubro-negro, where he was formed, but he gave priority to Santos – the club he defended in 2019. He highlighted his affection for the São Paulo team.
“I had the conversation with Sampaoli, but there are conversations with many clubs. When Santos appeared, I asked him to hold the conversation because I would give priority to Santos. The reason is this affection I have, this identification with the club. I don’t see a heavy atmosphere, I see a healthy atmosphere, everyone is happy. This situation will change, we are working and things will get better”, highlighted the number 8 shirt.
“I have an identity with Santos. I feel like a boy from Vila, the fans hugged me, invaded my social networks. I am very happy with everyone’s affection, I was very well received at the club, by the players, by the people who work there. I do feel like a boy from the village and I am very happy with the affection he receives from everyone”, added elsewhere.
The defensive midfielder said he was ready to debut against Botafogo, in Vila Belmiro, for the 16th round of the Brazilian Championship. Peixe is in 14th place on the Brasileirão leaderboard, with 16 points added.
