Real Sociedad Midfielder David Silva suffered a knee injury and was unable to complete the team’s training, according to the Spanish football club’s website.
The first medical examinations revealed damage to the anterior cruciate ligament of the left knee in the 37-year-old midfielder. Silva will be examined by a specialist next week.
The contract of the world champion and two-time European champion with the club is calculated until the summer of 2024.
“Real Sociedad” following the results of last season, he takes fourth place in the Spanish championship and will play in the group stage of the Champions League. Silva made 34 appearances, scoring three goals and providing seven assists.
