“Cherchesov knows his worth. Coaching teams of top RPL clubs are staffed, so he is unlikely to find a job soon” – Naumov

Former President of Lokomotiv Moscow Nikolai Naumov believes that the former coach of Hungary Ferencváros Stanislav Cherchesov little chance of quickly finding a job in Russia.

Wednesday Ferencvaros lost at home to Faroese Klaksvik 0:3 in the second leg of the Champions League first qualifying round and dropped out of the tournament. After the match, the club announced the resignation of Cherchesov as head coach.

– Will Cherchesov quickly find a job on his return to Russia? I don’t think he will rush to the first club he comes across, because he knows his worth. He coached the national team and gave a good result at the World Cup. If the club does not have clear tasks, the Cherchesov team will not be accepted. He is an ambitious person, who always sets maximum goals. Therefore, I do not think he will quickly find a job in Russia.

Coaching teams of major RPL teams are staffed. Cherchesov has not got along with Spartak for a long time. Yes, there is a new management, but a lot of people remained in various supervisory boards, influential fans too. Echoes of the negative that was with Cherchesov in Spartak will still be heard for a long time. Dynamo took only Marcel Lichka, although Cherchesov could have worked there. CSKA is unlikely to part ways with Vladimir Fedotov, young Mikhail Galaktionov works at Lokomotiv. Cherchesov himself won’t want to join the second eight clubs, Naumov told .

Apart from Spartak and Dynamo, the Russia specialist has also coached Zhemchuzhina Sochi, Terek Grozny and Amkar Perm.

The new season of the Russian championship starts on Friday with a match between Dynamo and Krasnodar. Watch the live broadcast of the match from 6:55 p.m. on the MATCH PREMIER channel, as well as on the matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru websites.
