The Portuguese turned down three offers from other clubs to join the Blaugranas. The Catalan club is ready to start negotiations with Atlético about the transfer of Joao.
The 23-year-old striker’s contract belongs to Atlético Madrid, where he moved in 2019 from Benfica for 127 million euros. From January to June 2023, Felix played for Chelsea on loan. At the end of May, he spoke about his desire to stay at the London club, but the Blues decided not to buy the Portuguese.
Atlético do not count on the 23-year-old player of the Portuguese national team and intend to get 100 million euros for him. Felix has been linked with various clubs this summer, there has even been talk of a return to Benfica.
In the 2022/23 season, João Felix scored 5 goals in 20 appearances for Atlético Madrid and 4 goals in 20 appearances for Chelsea.
Atlético finished third in La Liga. Barcelona have become champions of Spain in the completed 2022/23 La Liga season.
