Ukrainian next month will fight against Daniel Dubois
John Furyfather of the WBC world heavyweight champion tyson fury, commented on the upcoming fight between the WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and British boxer Daniel Dubois.
“Daniel Dubois can knock him out. The Dubois team must have the right tactics, a plan for the fight and eggs. That’s all it takes to beat the cruiser. But if he tries to box with Alexander, it will play into the hands of Usyk, the fight will go according to his scenario.
“Usyk needs to be treated rudely and harshly. You must easily withstand the attacks, then you will easily defeat Usyk. Without long two-phase attacks, powerful punches, pressing, using your size – forget about it. If you try to hit a cruiser with a jab, forget about winning.”
The duel between Usyk and Dubois is officially announced on August 26. The fight will take place in Wroclaw, Poland, at the Tarczynski Arena. It was reported that Usyk would receive 75% of the total prize fund – $6 million. Dubois can count on 25% – 2 million.
Alexander in his last fight again defeated Briton Anthony Joshua, defending his belts. Dubois defeated Kevin Lerena by TKO in December and retained the status of the mandatory challenger for the WBA belt, owned by the Ukrainian.
