Klopp says he won’t leave Liverpool for Germany

English head coachliverpool » Jurgen Klopp said he would not leave the team to work for the German national football team.

Earlier, it was reported that Klopp could replace Hans-Dieter Flick at the helm of the Bundesteam. The 56-year-old specialist’s current contract with Liverpool runs until the summer of 2026.

– The job of coaching the national team is a great honor for me, and there is no doubt about it. What separates me from her is my devotion. I cannot leave Liverpool now and say that I will take charge of the German national team for a short time. It doesn’t work like that, and there is no such demand. If at some point I have to lead the team, then I have to be available. I am responsible to the club.

Teamwork is an interesting option. But I don’t know yet if I want to do something completely different after leaving Liverpool. I want to have a choice,” Klopp quotes The Athletic.

Klopp has worked with Merseysiders since autumn 2015. Under his leadership, Liverpool have won the Premier League, Champions League, Domestic Cup, English League Cup and UEFA Super Cup.
