Athletistic/ Football. Former ‘Ferencváros’ coach Stanislav Cherchesov has commented on the departure from the Hungarian club.
“After the final whistle, I went up to the box of the president and his entourage. There it was announced that they had decided to part with me. I took this information into account and left the box. That’s all,” Cherchesov told SE.
Cherchesov left Ferencváros on July 19 after the club failed to progress to the Champions League 1st qualifying round.
Under Cherchesov’s leadership, the club won the Hungarian Championship twice and the Hungarian Cup once. Last season, Ferencváros reached the 1/8 finals of the Europa League, where they lost to Bayer.
