Dnepr-1 lost devastatingly Panathinaikos in the first match of the second qualifying round Champions League – 1:3.
The guests opened the scoring at the beginning of the match, Andraz Sporar hit the gate from close range. The Greeks scored the second goal after the break – ex-midfielder Dynamo Benjamin Verbic assisted Filip Djuricic.
Panathinaikos brought the score to a devastating one after Fotis Ioannidis converted a penalty. However, the Dnipro team managed to win back one goal — the goal was scored by Vladimir Tanchik.
The return match of Dnipro-1 and Panathinaikos will take place on August 1 in Athens. The match starts at 21:30 Kyiv time. The match will be broadcast by UNIAN TV channel and FootballHub Youtube channel.
The winner of the pair Dnipro-1 – Panathinaikos will play with Marseille in the third qualifying round of the Champions League. The losing team will face Slavia Prague in the third qualifying round of the Europa League.
