Until June 30, 2023
FIFA extended the right of Ukrainian clubs to suspend the contracts of foreign players and coaches.
The validity of the relevant norm was extended until June 30, 2023.
Until the end of the month, the clubs have time to agree on the details of future cooperation with the players. Otherwise, the contract is considered frozen, and the players get the right to go on loan.
This is how FIFA reacted this year to a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, as a result of which the season in the Ukrainian championship ended ahead of schedule.
FIFA also exempted underage players leaving Ukraine with their parents from the rule prohibiting the transfer of players under the age of 18.
The new football season in Ukraine starts on August 20. Today it became known that the Premier League championship is planned to start in three cities – Kyiv, Lvov and Uzhgorod
