In the event of an air raid, UPL matches may be rescheduled for another day
Executive Director Ukrainian Premier League Evgeny Dykyy spoke about how the participants of the championship of Ukraine of the new season will act during the air raid.
“At present, there is a draft of the relevant protocol, which will take into account all security issues, the algorithm for the actions of match participants, football players, coaches, club representatives, officials at the time of emergencies, including during an air raid. Most likely, a visual diagram of shelters will be posted, where they should move and be at this time.
It will also take into account the time period, how long we have to wait, as well as further actions. If the air raid is delayed, then with that match – whether it is postponed to another day or a decision on it will be made additionally.
There is a list of stadiums that are being coordinated with military administrations. In the near future we will understand the list of arenas where we will be able to host matches of the next championship, ”Dykyi said.
Recall that the 2022/23 season in the Ukrainian Premier League should start in three cities – Kyiv, Lvov and Uzhgorod. It was reported that the final vote for the format of the new championship should take place in early July. The start of the new season is scheduled for August 20.
Last football season in Ukraine ended ahead of schedule due to a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukrainian territories.
