CAS to consider appeals against sanctions against Russian clubs and national teams in July

The first hearing will take place on July 5

Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne (CAS) will consider appeals against sanctions against Russian clubs and teams in July.

According to ESPN, on July 5, the court will consider the appeal of the Russian Football Union against the disqualification of Russian clubs and teams, which was introduced by a joint decision by FIFA and UEFA.

On July 11, CAS will consider the appeal of four Russian clubs, including the national champion Zenit, against their suspension from competitions under the auspices of UEFA.

Russian clubs may request an expedited review of the case against the backdrop of the start of the Champions League qualification and the qualifying rounds of the Europa League and the Conference League, which will start in the near future.

All Russian clubs and national teams have been suspended from international competition due to the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, which continues for the 119th day.
