A non-European referee has been named for the UEFA Conference League qualifier.
Find out who will take charge of the first match of the third qualifying round of the Conference League between the Greeks Aris and Kyiv Dynamo.
According to the official website of the “white-blues”, a referee team led by 36-year-old Australian Jarred Gillett will work the match.
The referee was born on the Green Continent and started his career as a referee where he quickly became one of the best referees in Australia.
However, Gillett later moved to England. Starting from the 2021/2022 season, he received the right to work in the matches of the local Premier League.
And at the start of this year, the referee was also noticed in UEFA. The Australian has already managed to work on four matches at the European Cup in 2023.
