“Dinamo strongly condemns the riots that took place last night in Athens, in which, according to Greek and Croatian police and media reports, protesters from Croatia were involved in an incident with fans of the Greek football club AEK. Such events are not aligned with the values and ethics we promote as a club and community“, said Dinamo in an official note.
The attack promoted by Dinamo Zagreb fans took place in the vicinity of the AEK Athens stadium. The fan’s death caused UEFA to suspend the match on the eve of the scheduled date for the ball to roll. Now, the organization has promised to take new measures to prevent tragedies of this magnitude from continuing to stain world football.
