Coach Swansea Duff: We’ll have to do a lot of work to teach Kucharevich to play the way we want

Head coach Lebedy – about the debut of the Ukrainian striker in the new club

Head coach Swansea Michael Duff commented on the striker’s debut Nikolai Kukharevich in a cup match.

“For Nikolai, it was the first 10 minutes of the preseason. We will have to do a lot of work to teach him how to play the way we want, but the same goes for all new players.”

“He needs to catch up to understand our playing and pressing principles, but it was great to see him on the pitch.”

Recall that on August 8, the Ukrainian striker made his debut for Swansea in a match with Northampton in the English League Cup. He came on as a substitute at the end of the match with the score 2-0 to the Swans. Later, Swansea scored the third goal, filling out the rout, and advanced to the next round.

Kucharevich joined Swansea from Troyes on a full-time basis. The striker signed a three-year contract with an option to extend for another season.

Swansea drew with Birmingham in the first round of the Championship. Kuharevich’s next match will be against West Bromwich Albion on 12 August.
