O Strength won the Ceará 2-0 on the night of this Wednesday, 22, for the first leg of the round of 16 of the Copa do Brasil. After a balanced first half, Leão do Pici was superior in the second stage and confirmed the victory with goals from Yago Pikachu. With the result, Tricolor plays for a draw – or even defeat by a goal difference – to go to the quarterfinals.
The return game of the round of 16 of the Copa do Brasil will be played in three weeks, on July 13, at 8 pm (GMT), again at Arena Castelão. It is worth remembering that there is no qualifying goal as a tiebreaker, only the sum of the results. Whoever advances to the next phase will know their opponent in a draw to be held by the CBF.

THE GAME
The Ceará classic was balanced in the first stage, with Fortaleza starting more dangerous and Ceará looking for the reaction. Tricolor arrived well with submissions from Pikachu, Robson, Ronald and Moisés. Vozão responded well with Richard Coelho and Richardson. The goalkeepers played well in the opening 45 minutes.
Leão do Pici needed seven minutes of the second stage to open the score of the Clássico-Rei. After a good play with Moisés, Felipe hit the goal and saw the ball deflect in the white defense, but the ball was left for Yago Pikachu to complete for the nets: 1 to 0 in the classic for the Copa do Brasil.
