Urbano Cairo called rumors about the transition of the Ukrainian to the Bulls
The president Torino Urbano Cairo said that his club is not negotiating the transfer of the Ukrainian midfielder Marseille Ruslan Malinovsky.
“I don’t know where the rumors about Ruslan Malinovsky came from. I can guarantee that he is not on our list and we have never negotiated with Marseille to sign him,” Cairo said.
Earlier it was reported that the negotiations between the clubs reached an impasse. Torino offered one million for a loan and an option to buy the midfielder for nine million. The French side insisted on a ransom of 10-11 million euros.
Also in the hands of the Provencal club has an offer from Besiktas. Malinovsky himself at the same time wants to return to Italy.
Earlier, the 30-year-old Ukrainian agreed to a personal contract with the Bulls until 2026. Ruslan’s salary will be two million euros per season.
Recall that Ruslan was not included in Marseille’s application for the Champions League qualifying matches. Malinovsky in January moved to Marseille from Atalanta on loan. In July, the French club activated the option to buy out the Ukrainian’s contract. Ruslan’s contract with Marseille is calculated until the summer of 2026.
Torino will start the new season in Serie A on 21 August against Cagliari. Marseille will host Reims in the first round of Ligue 1 on August 12.
