An official ceremony was held for the inclusion of players and coaches in Hall of Fame basketball named after Naismith, held in the American Springfield.

Famous basketball players inducted into the Hall of Fame Dirk Nowitzki, Pau Gasol, Tony Parker, Dwyane Wade. Also received coach recognition Greg PopovichWNBA legend Becky Hammon, Jean Bess, Gary Blair, David Hickson, Jean Keedy, Jim Valvano and the US Women’s Olympic Team in 1976.

Nowitzki was the first European-born player to win the NBA MVP award in 2007. Parker’s NBA Finals MVP award that year was a first for a European. In 2002, Gasol won the NBA’s first Foreign Rookie of the Year.

Popovich is a five-time NBA champion along with San Antonio. Also under his leadership, the US team won the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.
