The head coach of Kryvbas speaks about the victory over the LNZ, which temporarily allowed the Kryvyi Rih residents to rise to the European Cup zone
Head coach Kryvbas Yuriy Vernydub shared his impressions of the victorious duel of the 3rd round UPL against LNZ (2:0).
“The game was not easy, I really liked the opponent. Not a bad team, even though they are newcomers to the UPL. I warned the guys about this, but our team – well done, survived. We scored good goals, I’m very pleased. I can’t say anything specific about the game right now, because you need to relax, calmly analyze everything later. Let’s move on.”
“The rookies did well today. Moreover, the first goal was scored thanks to our central defenders. But here the big role of our Croatian newcomer Ilich, who gave a chic pass to Stetskov, and then Beskorovayny scored. I am happy in general for the whole team. The second ball, too: a very good attack was carried out. Khomchenovsky made a good pass, and Zaderaka closed.
“In the end, the opponent also had chances, the ball hit the post once, somewhere Klischuk helped out. But it was already with the score 2:0, when the guys started to play on hold. This is wrong, let’s talk. To avoid such mistakes in the future.”
Recall that on August 13, Kryvbas beat LNZ with a score of 2:0. Vernydub’s team scored a goal at the end of each half – Daniil Beskorovayny and Maxim Zaderaka scored.
Thanks to this victory, Kryvbas scored 6 points and temporarily moved up to the top 4. In the next round of the Ukrainian championship, the club from Krivoy Rog will play against Shakhtar.
