Vashchuk spoke about his service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Former defender of Kyiv Dynamo Vladislav Vashchuk, who is currently defending Ukraine in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, spoke about his service in the National Guard of Ukraine.

In particular, the former football player said why he decided to go to war against the occupying Russian troops.

“I am engaged in charity work, volunteering, organizing games. My friend, Vsevolod Steblyuk, a colonel, a professor, turned to me. He said: “Can you help organize a game with Storm of the Offensive Guard, with football legends ? I don’t want others, I want you to organize with you. “I told my friend – this is Alexander Mark, he is a leader and now a psychotherapist, helping the military. Two or three weeks – and we arranged the match. The children received many gifts and above all , after playing with us, the boys went to Bakhmut, we charged them positively.

The next day Vsevolod Steblyuk and I met. We talked about how it all happened. He said: “Come to us, to me, to the National Guard, to the medical company.” The next day I said yes, I’m ready. I started signing papers. When I signed, they wanted to drag me to another company. You know, like in football, they are dragged from the transition. When a friend said she was a nurse, I said: “I can’t do anything.” And he: “We will teach you. You are an honored master of sports. Everything will be fine.

The first mission went well. We drove down the line, to our points. We analyzed what we could do and mitigate for our wounded, for ourselves, as soon as possible. Everything is done. What to say about the direction: yes, many people gathered from the other side of the “orcs”. But I saw in our eyes the confidence they were doing.

When they saw me, a man looked and said: “Somewhere I saw you.” I want to say that I am an artist. And one said: “Yes, it’s Vashchuk.” They are football fans. They asked: “Yes, no. What are you doing here?” I answered: “What are you doing – how can I help and share in the success.” Everyone is charged to win, so that we have a complete Ukraine, so that we get all our share. To “orcs” expel all. What the medical company “Bureya” does is everything that is needed now for the National Guard, for the Offensive Guard. We do everything we can to contribute to early success. Now I have done 19 evacuations. We can already say that he is experienced in evacuations. We have to win as soon as possible. I don’t want my children to feel this way.

It happened that the commander called me on the phone and said: “Can you give a master class?” I say I conducted a master class in football. And he said: “By leaving, you know everything, you do it.” I have never conducted an evacuation, but they conducted a master class, everyone liked it,” Suspilne told Vashchuk.

It will be remembered that earlier it was known that a famous Ukrainian futsal player died in the war with Russia.
