Mudrik: Half of what they write about in the news is complete nonsense, it’s better to ask me personally

Ukrainian winger spoke about the first months after his transfer to the Premier League

Ukrainian winger Chelsea Mikhail Mudrik spoke about the first months after his transition to English Premier League. The Ukrainian reacted to the rumors about him in the new team, which began to appear frequently.

“50% of what they write about in the news is complete nonsense. You read and it won’t fit on your ears. It is impossible to give a refutation for every news. Please do not repost yellow nonsense, do not engage in misinformation, it is better to ask me personally. Did I change in the hallway? This is absurd. There were moments when some players were in one dressing room, and newcomers in another, because there were a lot of players and there was no room.

“There were a lot of moments when I got high. Every new match in the Premier League is like the Champions League. The level of players is very high. Even when you play at home, the guests’ fans often shout over our fans. Also vice versa. The first match against Liverpool – you immediately understand that “wow”. You play against such players and you understand that you can beat them, do some kind of successful actions. It’s very motivating.”

How does money change people? Thank God they exist. I even sometimes forget what day the salary comes. I don’t think about them. Any person wants to earn more, money is an opportunity, but I do my job. Only then do I think about money. I always advise people to expect less of something. Do not worry, everything is under control, everything has its time. If you doubt me, have patience and faith, both in me and in people, and in our soldiers, and in Ukraine.”

Mudryk joined Chelsea from Shakhtar in January and signed an eight and a half year contract. The winger made 17 official appearances for the Blues in all competitions last season, providing two assists. In the 2022/23 season, Chelsea finished 12th in the Premier League and did not qualify for European competition.

Chelsea drew with Liverpool in the first round of the Premier League (1:1). In the next match, Mudrik’s team will face West Ham on August 20.
