FIFA expands final bids for 2022 World Cup to 26 players

Players must play their last match at club level no later than 13 November

FIFA expanded the final and preliminary national team applications on the World Cup 2022 in Qatar.

Each of the teams participating in the world championship will be able to enter up to 26 players for the tournament. Previously, the maximum number of players in the final application was 23. The preliminary list has been increased from 35 to 55 players.

At the same time, the players who will be included in the final applications of their teams for the World Cup must play their last match at the club level no later than November 13, 2022.

During World Cup matches, no more than 26 people can be on the bench at the same time: up to 15 substitutes and 11 staff members, among whom must be a team doctor.

The 2022 World Cup in Qatar starts on November 21st. The final match will take place on December 18.

In qualifying for the World Cup, the Ukrainian national team reached the final of the playoffs of the European selection, where they lost the minimum to the Wales team (0:1).
