Kilman extends Wolverhampton contract until 2028

An Englishman with Ukrainian roots previously became the captain of the Wolves

Defender Max Kilman extended the contract with Wolverhampton until summer 2028.

Kilman has been with the Wolves since 2018. The defender previously captained the Wolves, replacing Ruben Neves, who moved to Al Hilal in June.

Kilman has Ukrainian roots. Max wanted to become a football player of the Ukrainian national team and in May 2021, on the eve of the European Championship, he received a Ukrainian passport. But the defender could not play for the main team of the country because of his performances for the England futsal team. The head coach of the Ukrainian national team, Serhiy Rebrov, said that he would consider him a candidate for the Ukrainian national team after Max received Ukrainian football citizenship.

Wolverhampton will start the new Premier League season against Manchester United on 14 August. The meeting at Old Trafford starts at 22:00.
