Athletistic/Football. Brazilian footballer Neymar has set a new record for the total amount spent by clubs on transfers related to his transfers.
In 2013, Barcelona acquired Neymar from Santos for €88m, and in 2017 he joined PSG for €222m. The forward is currently transferred to Al Hilal in a deal valued at €90m.
In total, the clubs spent €400m on Neymar’s three transfers, a record figure.
Ousmane Dembele (3 transfers, 220 million euros), Cristiano Ronaldo (4 transfers, 247 million euros) and Romelu Lukaku (7 transfers, 333 million euros) have also contributed more than 200 million euros in their transfer history, according to Transfermarkt.
