The Kazan club are considering options to replace current coach Rashid Rakhimov.
Earlier it was reported that Cherchesov refused an offer to lead the Akhmat football club.
Stanislav Cherchesov has been in charge of the Ferencváros team since December 2021. However, on July 19, 2023, after his team lost to Faroese Klaksvik (0-3) in the first qualifying round of the League champions, the 59-year-old coach is dismissed.
Rubin is currently 14th in the Russian Premier League standings with 2 points after four rounds.
