The Ukrainian team needs to play back a three-goal gap
Head coach SC Dnepr-1 Oleksandr Kucher spoke about the preparation of the team for the return match of the third qualifying round Europa League against Prague Slavia.
“The first match for us was not very good both in terms of the pattern of the game and the result, but tomorrow we have nothing to lose, and we can only find. First of all, this is our desire not to lose the fight and show character, so that the attitude towards us is positive, ”said Kucher.
“All matches are important for us: both in European competitions and in the championship. We always tune in to every match. This, of course, is hard for us, somewhere we make a rotation so that the guys can rest, because when the players play with a fresh mind, it’s much better.
The first match of the confrontation in Prague ended with a crushing defeat of Dnepr-1 (0:3). The return match between Dnipro-1 and Slavia will take place on August 17 in Kosice.
The winner of the confrontation will play with Zorya in the playoffs of the Europa League qualifier. The loser will be relegated to the Conference League, where they will meet with the best team in the pair Lech – Spartak Trnava.
