The Greek team intends to beat Dynamo for the second time
Greek head coach Arisa Apostolos Terzis shared his expectations from the return match against Kyiv Dynamo in the third qualifying round Conference leagues.
“We should not think about the result of the first game. We know we have an edge, but we’re here to win. We will play like tomorrow is the first match. We played well a week ago at home, but now we want to play even better,” Terzis said.
“We will be 100% concentrated, we need to play compact in defense. I hope that our entire team will be able to show their best qualities and go further – to the next round of the Conference League. Again, our task is to win tomorrow’s game. We all believe in it.”
“Personnel situation in the team? Vladimir Darida, who had an injury, will be able to play in tomorrow’s match. He has already recovered from his injury and is training with the team. As for the goalkeeper Cuesta, the situation is difficult, the doctors are trying to do everything necessary on their part. Only before tomorrow’s match we will decide whether he can play.
“Speaking of the opponents, I think we should expect a lot of pressure from Dynamo tomorrow, especially near our penalty area. They will want us to make mistakes, which will allow them to score an early goal. But we discussed this with our players, and everyone understands that you need to be as focused and accurate as possible. We need to play even better than in the first match. Besides, tomorrow there will not be so many of our fans at the stadium.”
“I also understand that Dynamo can change a lot in their game. I have seen all the matches of Kiev this season. We know what needs to be done.”
In Greece, Aris beat Dinamo 1:0. The second leg will take place on August 17 in Bucharest at the Rapid Giulesti stadium. The start is at 20:00. The bout will be served by an Austrian team of referees led by Sebastian Gieshamer.
