Griffins are preparing a lease agreement for a midfielder for a year with a buyout option
Ukrainian midfielder of Marseille Ruslan Malinovsky close to moving into Genoa.
Griffins are working on renting a Ukrainian for one year. At the end of the contract, Genoa will have the opportunity to buy out the player’s contract.
Besiktas, Bologna and Premier League clubs are interested in the services of the Ukrainian. At the same time, the player had an agreed contract with Torino, but the Italian club cannot agree with Marseille on the amount of a possible buyout after the lease.
Malinovsky in January moved to Marseille from Atalanta on loan. In July, the French club activated the option to buy out the Ukrainian’s contract. Ruslan’s contract with Marseille is calculated until the summer of 2026.
Malinovsky played 23 matches for Olimpik in all competitions last season. The Ukrainian scored two goals in them and gave one assist.
Marseille, without Malinovsky, lost on aggregate to Panathinaikos in the Champions League qualification. Genoa will host Fiorentina in their first match of the new season on August 19.
