Athletistic/Football. The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) will change the format of the UEFA Super Cup from next year, according to Calcio e Finanza.
According to the source, no official decision has been made yet, but the idea of introducing the concept of “final four” has long been discussed. The winner of the Conference League will participate in this format, along with the winners of the Champions League, Europa League trophies and one other team.
A signal in favor of such an assumption is the fact that the Sky TV channel has acquired the rights to a new tournament in the period from 2024 to 2027 – the European Super Cup.
The current 2023 UEFA Super Cup will be played between Manchester City and Sevilla.
