The Ukrainian missed the starting matches of the Gunners in the new season
Head coach Arsenal Mikel Arteta said that the Ukrainian defender Alexander Zinchenko will soon be available to the team.
“Alex is doing very well. He has been training with the team and we hope to have him available very soon,” the coach said.
Recall that the Ukrainian defender missed the end of last season due to problems with calves. The injury of the Ukrainian prevented Oleksandr from playing in the matches of the national team in qualifying for Euro 2024 with North Macedonia and Malta.
Due to lingering discomfort, the 26-year-old missed the Gunners’ pre-season tour. Also, Zinchenko did not get into the team’s application for the first matches of the new season.
Arsenal beat Nottingham 2-1 in the first round of the Premier League. Arteta’s next match will be against Crystal Palace on 21 August.
