The midfielder of the Ukrainian national team is getting closer to returning to the Italian Serie A.
Ruslan Malinovsky is as close as possible to a move to Genoa. According to renowned journalist Gianluca di Marzio, Marseille have agreed with the Italian club on the transfer of the 30-year-old Ukrainian. The midfielder of the national team of Ukraine will go to the representative of Serie A on loan with the right to buy.
In order for the agreement between the clubs to finally take place, only now Malinovsky himself had to agree to the transfer to the Griffins.
Recall that Ruslan moved to Marseille from Atalanta in January of this year with an obligation to buy in the summer for 10 million euros. As part of the French team, the midfielder played 23 matches in which he scored two goals and provided one assist. The current Ukrainian contract with the Provencals is calculated until the summer of 2026.
It is worth noting that Genoa, formerly coached by Andriy Shevchenko, returned to Serie A at the end of last season.
In the past, interest in the player was also linked to Besiktas, but the Ukrainian refused to move to Turkey.
