Previously, the young Frenchman was close to moving to Chelsea
Crystal Palace officially announced the signing of a new contract with the midfielder Michael Olise. The agreement is for four years.
In recent days, the future of the young winger has been tied to Chelsea. Olise could become one of the competitors of the Ukrainian Mykhailo Mudryk in the team of Mauricio Pochettino.
It was previously reported that the Blues had activated a £35m clause for the 21-year-old Crystal Palace player. Negotiations between the London clubs were at the final stage, and the player himself had already agreed to a move to Chelsea.
Olise has been with Crystal Palace since the summer of 2021. The French U-21 midfielder made 40 appearances for the club in all competitions last season, scoring 2 goals and providing 11 assists.
Palace in the first round of the Premier League with a minimum score (1:0) beat away Sheffield United. Roy Hodgson’s team will play their next match at home against Arsenal on 21 August.
